The Banda Musical de Lagares is a local band from Porto, Portugal, with around 64 people between 12 and 60 years. 2020 marks their 120 Anniversary but the current coronavirus outbreak changed their birthday plans: they had a series of events in the agenda that had to be cancelled or postponed until further notice.

Even though they can’t perform in public, they feel the responsibility towards their community and audience to keep taking their music to people. So, as a way of lifting everyone’s spirit in times of crisis, keep in touch with each other and find a way to focus on the love they all share for music, these musicians got “together from a distance” to play online and for everyone: You can find their performances on their Youtube channel here
