A Panel discussion will follow the first session, with the presence of the Director of the movie Nghiem-Minh Nguyen-Vo, representatives of member states embassies and Deputy Director General of the National Committee on Climate Change, Mr Pham Van Tan. The second session will be held on 25 September, at 19:00 at L' Espace, where the winners of the online competition will be awarded with a special prize.

"Nuoc 2030": Set in the near future of the beautiful coasts of Southern Vietnam when water levels have risen due to global climate change, a strong-willed woman has to make a critical decision about her ex-lover, a suspect of her husband's murder.

Ten months past the success of COP21 Paris Agreement, the EU continues pushing its partners to maintain the unprecedented political momentum in support of climate action that brought us all to this promising point. This landmark achievement for combating climate change represents an ambitious, balanced, equitable and legally binding agreement. The EU Climate Diplomacy Week aims to raise awareness near the Vietnamese society for the ever more urgent need of translating words into concrete action and palpable results.

The first-ever universal, legally binding global climate deal sets out a global action plan to put the world on track to avoid dangerous climate change by limiting global warming to well below 2oC. So far, more than 180 countries have now signed the Paris Agreement and 26 have completed their domestic ratification procedures and become Parties to the Agreement.

The EU, on behalf of its Member States, is moving forward with its ambitious domestic climate policies, with new proposals that will help reach the emissions reduction target of at least 40% by 2030 compared to 1990' level and further drive the transition to a low-carbon economy.
