The Delegation of the European Union (EU) and the Foreign Policy Community of Indonesia (FPCI) organised a public discussion entitled "Anticipating a world under duress: Does Europe have a game plan?" on 6 December 2016 in Jakarta.

The discussion focused on the role of the EU as a global actor providing views from Europe and Asia. The event presented a line-up of prominent speakers, including the former Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Marty Natalegawa, the EU Ambassador to Indonesia H.E. Vincent Guérend and Senior Anchor of CNN Indonesia Ms Desi Anwar, while acting as moderator of the discussion was FPCI Founder and former Indonesian Ambassador to the USA, Dr Dino Patti Djalal.
