Another full agenda for Federica Mogherini this week included attending the NATO Foreign Ministerial, meeting with US State Secretary John Kerry for the EU-US Energy Council, and participating in the OSCE Ministerial Council, among others.

Early this week Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the EU, participated in the NATO Foreign Minister's meeting. "We share concerns, we share also possible solutions (…) I intend to develop … all the potential that the EU has on security and defence" she said upon her arrival to NATO HQ.  The same day Mogherini also held meetings with Albania’s Foreign Minister Ditmir Bushati, Cypriot Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides, Lebanon’s Prime Minister Tammam Salam and the UN Envoy for Libya, Bernadino Leon.

Later this week Mogherini attended OSCE Ministerial Councilin Basel where she stressed:" [The Ukraine] crisis has underlined the value of OSCE's concept of comprehensive security. Ukraine has shown that there can be no lasting security and stability without good governance and respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms." In Basel, Mogherini met with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrovurging them to implement the Minsk agreements. She then went on to attend the London Conference on Afghanistan 2014 where she also had a bilateral meeting with Yun Byung-se, Republic of Korea’s Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The week ends with Mogherini and Johannes Hahn, Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH)to grant their support to BiH's integration path to the EU. They will meet leaders of BiH institutions, leaders of the political parties and members of the civil society to discuss reforms and the EU integration process.

This week Mogherini also hosted US Secretary of State John Kerryto discuss their foreign policy priorities and chair the EU-US Energy Council, a key forum for boosting EU-US cooperation on energy, together with Vice President for the EU Energy Union, Maroš Šefčovič, and EU Energy Commissioner Miguel Arias Cañete. She also attended the first ministerial level meeting of the Global Coalition to Counter the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.
