On the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha Al Mubarak, H.E. Ambassador Jean-Michel Dumond, Head of Delegation of the
European Union to Sudan published the following greetings:
"Next week the world will celebrate the feast of Eid ul-Adha. Muslims will sacrifice sheep to feed family, friends, the poor and needy.
For Muslims across Europe and the world this is a time of spiritual renewal and to serve the least fortunate among us.
In Europe, many Muslims are living in the member countries of the European Union and will celebrate the Eid.
The Muslim Europeans have enriched our lives. They are active and present in all the sectors of their respective
communities.
Eid ul-Adha should remind us to work harder for peace to end the suffering of the internally displaced people in the areas affected by the armed conflicts.
It should remind us also to strengthen religious tolerance and interfaith dialogue, to tolerate the existence of
differences, accept diversity of other faiths and to build co-existence inside our communities.
May you all have a very happy and blessed Eid.
