Minister Kutesa welcomes new EU Ambassador designate presents credentials

H.E Ambassador - designate Attilio PACIFICI has presented the true copies of his credentials to Uganda Minister of Foreign Affairs Honourable Sam Kutesa at the Ministry headquarters in Kampala. Ambassador - designate Pacifici succeeds H.E Kristian Schmidt as Head of Delegation of the European Union Delegation to Uganda following nomination in May 2017 by Ms Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy / Vice-President of the Commission.  At the meeting with Mr Kutesa yesterday morning, Ambassador-designate Pacifici also presented the true copies of the letter of recall of Ambassador Schmidt whose tenure as EU Ambassador to Uganda ended in July 2017.
