Call for Proposals for projects related to the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018

The Delegation of the European Union is inviting cultural operators[1] to send project proposals for marking the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018[2].

The objective is to promote cultural heritage as a source of inspiration for artistic contemporary creation and innovation and strengthen the interaction between the cultural heritage sector and other cultural and creative sectors.

The eligible activities must relate to cultural heritage and may include events[3] in cultural heritage sites which have been reconstructed with funds from the European Union. For easier reference please find attached a list of EU-funded projects in the area of culture.

The Delegation of the European Union with a total budget of EUR 30,000 will support up to ten cultural operators, with up to EUR 3,000 each. The overall budget can be higher if funds are available from other sources. The project activities have to be carried out during the period 1 January – 31 December 2018.

The cultural operators which are interested in applying should submit:

  1. Letter of Interest presenting briefly their expertise and experience in the area in which they work, list of previous projects and achieved results (maximum 1 page);
  1. Project Summary describing the proposed activities including objectives, target groups, timeframe, budget breakdown and amount of contribution requested (maximum 3 pages).

The application form should be completed in English and sent by e-mail not later than 30 October 2017, at the following e-mail: euinfo@euic.mk. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered as eligible.

The selection of projects will be made by the Delegation of the European Union. The selected projects will be notified by 30 November 2017. The Delegation of the European Union can decide to support only one or several activities comprised in the proposal of one applicant.

[1] Cultural operators are entities which are active in the cultural and creative sectors. Please note that natural persons may not apply.
