EU, UNODC and SEARCCT launch Research Publication on "Radicalisation in Southeast Asia"

The European Union (EU) supported a research study on Radicalisation in Southeast Asia done by the Southeast Asia Regional Centre for Counter-Terrorism (SEARCCT) in the framework of the Joint EU-UNODC Initiative for Supporting Southeast Asian Countries to Counter Terrorism.
The outcome of this study, a book entitled "Radicalisation in Southeast Asia: A selected case study of Daesh in Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines" was presented at a launch event at the UN Conference Centre in Bangkok on 12 April to delegates from Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines as well as to representatives from Australia, the EU and the USA.
The event was opened by the Director General of the SEARCCT, H.E. Ambassador Ms. Datin Paduka Rashidah Binti Ramli, and the Head of the EU Delegation to Thailand, H. E. Ambassador H.E. Ambassador Jesús Miguel Sanz.
