The competition was launched at the EU Open Day on October 18 and is open to all Youth 15 – 24 years. The UN, for statistical consistency, defines ‘Youth’ as those persons between the ages of 15 and 24 years. An additional category has been included for the participation of children below the 15 years age group, residing and attending school in Papua New Guinea, and of Papua New Guinean nationality.
Entries are invited to create a work of art that in keeping with the theme is sustainable art that use non-traditional materials of choice. For example, it could be a free-hand drawing or painting that uses a non-traditional material that may be natural material, or is recyclable material to create sustainable art. We invite you to be creative; all works of art will be judged on the same merits. The Artwork must express how the PNG - EU cooperation and partnership supports “Sustainable, Responsible Development in Partnership” using the 17 goals of the UN Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals; and must make reference to illustrate current or past actions by EU in celebrating 40 Years of Partnership with PNG.
