Online Survey: How European private sector investment supports Malawi

The Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Malawi, in collaboration with EU Member States seek to hear the views of the EU-linked companies doing business in Malawi and the support they need. This information will inform the possible organisation of an EU-Malawi Business Forum in 2024.

The generated data/information will also be used to further formulate discussions with the Malawian government on measures to improve the business environment and trade relations.

All EU-linked firms already operating or interested in entering, as well as companies importing from the EU and/or exporting to the EU, are invited to complete this 5-minute survey online

https://ec.europa.eu/eusurvey/runner/EUinvestmentMalawi by 15 September 2023.

Companies are invited to contribute to this exercise if:

  • their ownership includes citizens/funds/companies of any of the 27 EU Member States; or
  • their head office is based in any EU Member State; or
  • the top manager in Malawi is European; or
  • the EU is their main import/export market.

All replies are confidential and protected by EU’s Data Protection Law (GDPR). They will be presented in aggregated form (as a whole, not mentioning individual companies) and will not be shared with third parties. Only a few selected EU staff have access to the data.

If you need any further information or would like to share feedback and/or provide any input, which is not covered by the online survey, do not hesitate to contact the following:
