I am speaking on behalf of the European Union and i ts member States. The following countries align themselves with this statement: Turkey, Serbia and Georgia. The EU has supported from the outset the launch of the international decade on People of African Descent: recognition, justice and developme nt , when it was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly back in December 2014.
