Over 30 new films from the Western Balkans have so far been developed with support of the EU's Creative Europe MEDIA programme.
One of them is God Exists, Her Name is Petrunya by Teona Strugar Mitevska, which premiered at Berlin Film Festival this year and after receiving several awards there and at other festivals is now a finalist for the European Parliament's LUX prize. In this film, the producers from North Macedonia worked with partners in Croatia, Slovenia, France and Belgium.
Last week the region's film industry gathered at the 25th Sarajevo Film Festival, supported by the MEDIA programme.
