IWD Campaign "Transforming Challenges into Strength: The Urgency of Gender Issues during COVID-19 Pandemic"
In celebration of International Women's Day 2021, KAPAL Perempuan Institute launched a campaign entitled “Transforming Challenges into Strength: The Urgency of Gender Issues during COVID-19 Pandemic”. This campaign is supported by the European Union through the Active Citizens Building Solidarity and Resilience in Response to COVID-19 (ACTION) project.
The campaign aims to advocate for government support and raise public awareness on gender issues during the COVID-19 pandemic, in particular issues related to the vulnerabilities of women and the mitigation strategies, that have a gender perspective, are inclusive and transformative.
The campaign was kicked-off with an expert discussion on 3 March 2021, followed by a webinar on 4 March 2021.
