Welcome to the website of the European Union Office and the European Union Special Representative in Kosovo. 

As you navigate through the website, you will find out what we are doing to promote closer ties between the European Union and Kosovo. You will learn more about the history of the European Union, and about Kosovo’s European perspective strengthened through the Stabilisation and Association Agreement between the EU and Kosovo, in force since 2016. 

The EU in Kosovo is the gateway to represent all the European Union institutions. One of our main tasks in this respect is to meet an increasing demand for information. I hope that our website will help people better understand the European Union, and provide a basis for open discussion on issues related to bilateral co-operation with the EU. Our website provides access to information on key documents regarding the relations between the EU and Kosovo and its progress on the European path. 

The financial instruments in support of this effort make the EU the biggest investor, trade partner and donor in Kosovo. With a generous contribution of its taxpayers, the EU puts almost 100 million euro a year at the disposal of Kosovo to make the sustainable economic development a reality. In total, this support has amounted to 2.5 billion euro since 1999.
